“So, I love you because the entire universe conspired to help me find you.”
― Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist
Looking at Teresa and Francisco, you have no doubts that the entire universe really conspired to help them find each other and to smile at each other for many happy years together.
Originally from Spain, Francisco had been living in Canada and the USA for a long time. He met his beloved Teresa, who is originally from the USA, on an online dating site and after a number of dates they took a trip to Europe.
They visited Granada as this was Francisco’s home town and while they were strolling round this beautiful city they walked passed the Santa Ana church and Teresa said that that was where she would like to get married one day. This meant a lot to Francisco as his mother, sister and brother had all been baptised there.
Franisco chose to propose in Paris though, the city of romance, and Teresa of course said “yes”!
On the 10th of June 2016, the sun was shining in Granada and the blue skies over the Albaizin, the historical Arabic quarter, made for a perfect day.
Francisco got ready in the Hotel Posado del Toro with his family.
Happiness and smiles of the couple and their close friends and family was the main criteria of the day.
Just couple of minutes left till the ceremony and our photographer, Helena Krol, caught some wonderful pictures of the beautiful bride and her brave and cheerful knight.
And then their dream came true at the church – Iglesia de San Gil & Santa Ana
The groom walked down the aisle with his sister.
The bride was accompanied by her brother.
With the presence of all their close family and friends, Francisco and Theresa officially became husband and wife.
Guests congratulated Teresa and Francisco as they left the church by strewing them with rose petals.
After a short break for photos, guests were invited to have cocktails in the restaurant Pilar del Toro followed by a wonderful dinner.
The cake was made by lussocake but had been designed and was then decorated by Teresa’s daughter
The cake was adorned with flowers to match the bride’s bouquet, succulents, roses, cala lilies in pastel pinks and peaches with a touch of greenery. The flowers were provided by Nerine Arte Floral.
The atmosphere was very charming and cosy, the groom told a lot of jokes to guests and the whole dinner was accompanied with lots of laughs.
The evening was finished off with a Flamenco show.
Congratulations to Teresa & Francisco !
We were planning a wedding Granada but live in the U.S. It never would have happened without Theresa’s expert assistance. She made everything so easy, from the big things like organizing the venues to the smaller details like gifts of chocolate for our guests. She even provided calming words and reassurance when the bride started getting nervous; all via email and Skype! Her help did not stop there; she was with us every step of the way from the moment we arrived in Granada until the end of the reception. Thank you Theresa for organizing such an an amazing day!
