Sarah and Phil were married in a gorgeous 19th century mansion in mid-August, a historical monument of Motril. The 19th Century Mansion venue sits atop a hill, thus lending itself to spectacular views of the Sierra Nevada and the Mediterranean sea in the distance.
The couple’s 80 guests enjoyed the venue’s lush gardens, fountains, and romantic waterfalls.
The couple had a spiritual blessing ceremony in one of the mansion’s gardens.
After the ceremony all the guests gathered together with the bride and groom in one of the gardens to begin the dinner and speeches. A catering company provided everything for Sarah & Phil’s reception and dinner, including delicacies inspired by regional favorites.
The couple chose to have a live band throughout the entire evening up until the dance party. The band played classical music, such as Handel and Bach for the ceremony and then switched to Gypsy Jazz for the meal.
After the dinner, all the guests gather together around the pool to being the dance party, where Sarah and Phil had a DJ.
Hi Theresa and Sonia,
I’ve just got back from honeymoon and in the office again. Feeling a bit flat because I just didn’t want to come home. I wanted to email you both to say thanks so much for everything you did to make our day so fantastic and run so smoothly!!! I said to Phil that I was sad that we wouldn’t be in contact with AWOL anymore to organise another wedding!! But of course, we will keep in contact as we will still visit Granada as it is the closest airport to where my mother lives. You guys were just great and helped to make the most perfect day ever!!!
I will be recommending AWOL to anyone who wishes to marry in Spain. I loved every minute of the day and our guests really enjoyed themselves. The party finished at around half 4 in the morning and thanks to you, they all got back home on the buses! I’ve received cards of thanks and most of the guests have contacted me to say it was the best wedding they have been to ever!!! You are more than welcome to use our pics on our website (I like the idea of fame!!)
Take care and happy wedding organising for all those other lucky couples you work with!!!!!
love and best wishes,
Sarah and Phil Edwards
