Mark and Maria had a beautiful wedding on a warm summer’s day in May. They flew to Spain from Singapore where they now live, with 130 friends and family flying in from all over Europe with Maria being from Sweden and Mark from Ireland. They had a Catholic wedding ceremony in the Santa Ana church in Plaza Nueva in the centre of Granada and then the happy couple took all their guests to a wedding reception at the Carmen de los Chapiteles.
The flowers were delivered to the hotel by Nerine Arte Floral. The bridal bouquets were made up of roses and lisianthus in soft pale pinks and whites.
The bride had a beautiful wedding dress with fabulous Jimmy Choo shoes to match.
Meanwhile the Groom Mark got ready with his Groomsmen in the Hotel Carmen del Cobertizo.
Once everyone was ready they walked through the streets of Granada to the beautiful renaissance church, the Iglesia de Santa Ana, in Plaza Nueva, where the ceremony was officiated by an English Speaking Priest. Music was provided by a string quartet.
After the ceremony, all the guests headed to the Carmen de los Chapiteles for a Cocktail reception in the gardens with views of the Albayzin and the Alhambra, serenaded by a Spanish Guitar duo.
During the cocktail the happy couple took advantage of some time to themselves with romantic photos in the gardens.
The meal was held inside the dining room with large windows overlooking the Albaicin. The tables were decorated with flowers to match the bridal bouquet.
The wedding cake was a 4 tier cake with 2 tiers of Red Velvet and 2 tiers of Vanilla Sponge with Chocolate filling provided by Lussocake. The decoration was pale pink roses and white baby’s breath.
After the meal all the guests made their way into the bar and dance area where they danced the night away to the band totalismo followed by DJ Kayser.
