The fabulous, fun loving Gareth & Mauricio chose the Restaurante Las Tomasas for their wedding celebrations in September 2016. Located in the old Arabic Quarter of Granada, the Albaicin, this venue has unbeatable views of the Alhambra.
An international same sex wedding with an intimate group of friends flying into Granada from all over the world. Gareth is Irish, Mauricio is Cuban and they met in the USA where they were both working.
The whole wedding party stayed at the boutique Hotel Parraga Siete where they first held a drinks reception with Cava and Canapes and a photoshoot on the Balconies.
No details were spared with personalised stationary & matching socks!
The party bus took everyone up to the Albaicin where they stopped for a quick group photo before the excited grooms made their way into Las Tomasas where their guests awaited their arrival for the ceremony.
Gareth’s sister Leon was the celebrant for the blessing ceremony on the lawns overlooking the Alhambra, serenaded by the Cuarteto Albayzin.
They then enjoyed more drinks and tapas in the chillout area before making their way to the upper terrace for dinner.
Flowers and Decoration were provided by Nerine Arte Floral with fairy lights, candles, lemons and fresh flowers.
The wedding cake was a fruity little number of cranberry and lemon sponge filled with lemon cream, supplied by Lussocake. They had personalised cake toppers of the grooms themselves!
As if the wedding day itself wasn’t enough, Gareth and Mauricio also organised a whole host of activities while their guests where in Granada for a few days with a little help from their wedding planners. These events included dinners, a flamenco show at the Jardines de Zoraya and of course a visit to the Alhambra.
A Gay wedding in every sense of the word!
Congratulations to Gareth & Mauricio!
