Booking Conditions

1. Your Contract
These are the conditions of the contract between you and AWOL in Granada. The person making the booking accepts these conditions on behalf of all members of the party and accepts responsibility for paying for the whole holiday. You must be aged 18 or over to make a booking with us.

2. Paying for your holiday
If you book your holiday more than 8 weeks before your departure date you must pay a deposit. The deposit is 25% of the total cost of the holiday. The balance must be paid 8 weeks before your departure date. If it is not paid we reserve the right to cancel your booking and ask you to pay cancellation charges as set out in paragraph 6 below. Please note that if you make your booking within 8 weeks of your departure date you must pay for your holiday in full.

Upon receipt of your booking form and correct deposit, we will send you a confirmation of booking, detailing accommodation, numbers booked, a copy of your full itinerary and an invoice for the final balance due from you and its payment date.

No contract exists between us until we have sent you written confirmation of your booking. All conditions are binding upon us both.

3. Insurance
All guests on holiday with AWOL in Granada must have personal insurance that covers mountain, skiing and water sports activities where applicable according to your itinerary, emergency expatriation, health and medical cover. We also recommend insurance for baggage and cancellation. No liability will be accepted by us for any clients travelling without adequate travel insurance.

4. If you change your holiday
If you want to change anything to do with your booking we will do our best to help. However, we may not always be able to meet your request and have no obligation to do so. Where it is possible to meet your request we will re-calculate the total cost of the holiday including the new arrangement and charge an amendment fee of £25.00. If you wish to add any new persons onto the booking and we are able to accept such a change, no amendment fee will be levied.

5. If we change your booking
We will always endeavour to provide you with the activities and excursions as set out on the itinerary sent to you at the time of booking. However, it may be possible that some of the activities may have to be changed by AWOL in Granada for reasons beyond our control. We therefore reserve the right to substitute any activity with another of equivalent value. Minimum numbers may be necessary for some activities. The above is also applicable if the minimum numbers are not achieved.

6. If you cancel your holiday booking
If you or any member of your party, wish to cancel your booking, once it has been confirmed, you must do so in writing. The cancellation charges that you will incur are set out below:

7. Our responsibility to you
We are responsible to you in the event that the services we contract to provide are deficient or not of a reasonable standard. We also accept responsibility for the acts and/or omissions of our employees, agents and suppliers. Compensation will be limited to the invoice cost of that part of the contract which is deficient or not of reasonable standard.

We are responsible if you are killed, injured or fall ill because one of our employees, agents or suppliers negligently fail to perform their duty. This does not apply if your death, illness or injury is unforeseeable or unavoidable or brought about by a third party not connected with your holiday arrangements.

We cannot be held responsible for the loss of enjoyment or additional expenses due to delays or changes in travel arrangements or other services which are caused by circumstances amounting to force majeure such as war, riot, civil strife, terrorism, industrial dispute or adverse weather conditions.

8. Any problems
Any complaints should be brought to the AWOL in Granada representative as soon as possible, who will make every effort to achieve a satisfactory solution. Should this not be possible it is important to contact us in writing within 28 days of your return, quoting your booking reference number. Upon receipt of your letter we will send you an acknowledgement, investigate the points raised and reply within 28 days or, if this is not possible, send you an interim letter advising you on our progress.

We cannot be held responsible for the loss of enjoyment or additional expenses due to delays or changes in travel arrangements or other services which are caused by circumstances amounting to force majeure such as war, riot, civil strife, terrorism, industrial dispute or adverse weather conditions.

9. Website details
The details announced on our website are published in good faith, but it has to be kept in mind that certain conditions such as weather conditions can sometimes affect the facilities that we describe. The information on this website is subject to change. Any changes will be communicated before the contract is concluded.

10. Law and Jurisdiction
Your contract with us is governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes that arise will be dealt with the by the English courts.
